chrony clients command throws error `519 Client logging is not active in the daemon`

Issue

  • chronyc clients command throws error 519 Client logging is not active in the daemon
  • How to start/enable client's logging on NTP server?
  • RHEL7 is acting as NTP server for two clients node1 and node2.
    node1 is running RHEL7 with chronyd and node2 is running RHEL6 with ntpd. Both clients are in sync with NTP server (ntpserver) but it throws below error when clients status is checked from ntpserver,
[root@ntpserver]# chronyc clients
