Applying a single errata or multiple errata results in disappearing of all the errata for a content host in Satellite 6.2.

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.2

Issue

  • Applying a single errata or few errata's results in disappearing of all the other errata's for a content host from the installable errata section.
  • Executing yum update on client system shows that there are several packages that can be updated i.e. corresponding errata's but are not visible from Satellite webUI.

Resolution

  • This is a bug and it is tracked under Bugzilla 1489921.

  • As a workaround, execute the below commands on the client system to bring back the errata count.

    # service goferd restart
# katello-package-upload -f 
# katello-enabled-repos-upload -f

  • The issue is fixed in Red Hat Satellite 6.2.12 under an interim update [6.2.12-6.0].
