tftpd service unavailable when launched from xinetd
Issue
- tftpd service unavailable when launched from xinetd
- Would like to enable the tftpd service on 2 servers. Installed the rpm and configured the hosts.allow, /etc/xinetd.conf, and /etc/xinetd.d/tftp files
- When attempting to transfer via tftp, it fails but only logs that it started the transfer, no errors.
- If xinetd service disabled (*chkconfig tftpd off *) and launch ***in.tftpd** * manually ( ***/usr/sbin/in.tftpd -l -c -v -u bcan-xfer -s /home/bcan-** ****xfer** * ), it works fine.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Configured tftpd to launch via xinetd
