After upgrading to RHEV-M 3.6.11, when rebooting RHEVM, running VMs lose their permission attributes

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After upgrading to RHEV-M 3.6.11, RHEV-M reboot causes all running pool VMs to lose their permission attributes, i.e. attached user is lost.
  • Note that this case is not about when VMs shut down and go back to the pool. This is about what happens when booting the manager, not any VM. Booting or restarting the ovirt-engine service.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) 3.6
  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Host 6 or 7
    • vdsm-4.16.x
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Host 6 or 7
    • vdsm-4.16.x
