The system could not recognize the multi-cpu from VMware host
Issue
- It assigns six cores to rhel guest in VCenter layer. But the system only recognizes one core in /proc/cpuinfo.
Number of virtual sockes = 6 ---> from VCenter
[test@rhel6 rhel6test ]$ cat proc/cpuinfo |grep processor
processor : 0
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- kernel-2.6.32-573.el6.i686
- VMware guest
