GUI (X) display problem in RHEL installed on Microsoft Virtual Server
Issue
- XWindows display is not displayed properly.
- Installed RHEL in text mode on a Windows Virtual Server as GUI installation didn't work.
- When the system boots in runlevel 5, GUI login screen is displayed but display is not proper. The resolution is incorrect and the screen is stretched far to the right.
- Loged in to the system but can not work on it due to display problem.
- Video adapter is considered an S3 Trio32/64 by the OS.
Environment

Red Hat enterprise Linux 5 as Guest

Host OS : Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition, SP2 (Version 5.2 Build 3790.srv03_sp2_gdr.090319-1204)
- Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 Enterprise is the virtual server software.
