RHEL 7 LACP Team port shows an unexpected Aggregator ID and switch may report an LACP protocol issue

Issue

A RHEL 7 Team using 802.3ad LACP may not function as expected.
teamdctl output shows all the team ports do not have the same aggregator ID, despite it being validated from the switch end that the ports are all indeed connected to the same aggregator.

Cisco Nexus switches may report this error:

LACP-3-SYN_COLL_DIS_EN: [chars] [[chars]]: SYNC, COLLECT and DISTRIBUTE flags enabled too early by partner
