SOAPProxy with unreachable proxy URL causes server to hang on JBoss Enterprise SOA-P 5

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We are trying to deploy an esb archive which contains a SOAPProxy. If the wsdl attribute points to a proxy URL which is currently unreachable, the server freezes. If you take that action out of the jboss-esb.xml, the server will start without an issue.

  • If the soap proxy uses the http protocol to connect to a local web service SOA-P will hang on startup

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Service Oriented Architecture Platform (SOA-P)
    • 5.0
