SSSD segfault in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4 because of domain_type option

Issue

After updating to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4 we experience the below issue when starting sssd. The problem is caused by the parameter domain_type = ldap in /etc/sssd/sssd.conf. If we remove this parameter the service runs normal:

Aug 23 14:22:39 foo kernel: sssd[96674]: segfault at 118 ip 00007fee6db1eb91 sp 00007ffec096acf0 error 6 in libsss_util.so[7fee6db05000+81000]
