Setting Proxy Definition Only for Authentication in OpenShift

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • We request for openshift to support a way to set proxy for the masters nodes to use for AzureAD, LDAP, or other authentication and does not make that proxy information available anywhere else such as docker configuration, initial builds and during runtime.
  • Currently the build logs container confidential information such as the username and password of the proxy. This should be removed from the logs.
  • Able to use proxy info for master nodes for authentication. All containers end up having to have this proxy information from Docker.

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
    • 3.4, 3.5
