systemd-udev: net_id: Interface Consistent Device Naming is broken in 7.4 for sfc driver (solarflare)
Issue
- After updating to RHEL 7.4, the interface name of Solarflare interfaces have changed. This can cause network configurations which depend on a matching interface name to fail to apply.
- With an older RHEL 7 system, the names were something like
ens1f0andens1f1. After the update to RHEL 7.4, the same interfaces now appear with the namesens1f0np0andens1f1np1.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4
- Solarflare NIC (sfc driver)
