Fluentd receiver throws "Size of the emitted data exceeds buffer_chunk_limit" warning in OpenShift 3.5

Issue

  • Configured fluentd for log forward to an external fluentd and receiving the following warning messages in the log file:
[warn]: This may occur problems in the output plugins ``at this server.``
[warn]: To avoid problems, set a smaller number to the buffer_chunk_limit
[warn]: in the forward output ``at the log forwarding server.``
[warn]: Size of the emitted data exceeds buffer_chunk_limit.
  • Is there any recommendation on how to tune buffer_chunk_limit for fluentd receivers?
