Why are no interfaces seen in 'ifconfig -a' output for systems using Mellanox NIC cards?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Network files ifcfg-eth* are not created for mellanox NIC card and in ifconfig -a and /sys/class/net mellanox interface are not shown.

  • NIC is detected as per lspci output.
