Unable to mount vfat filesystem error mount: unknown filesystem type 'vfat'

Issue

• Getting error while mounting vfat filesystem:

mount: unknown filesystem type 'vfat'

• When trying to mount my USB stick or external hard drive, I'm getting the following error:

[root@localhost ~]# mount /dev/sdc /mnt/usb
mount: /dev/sdc is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: unknown filesystem type '(null)'

• /boot/efi file system getting timed out at boot.
