Can I manually set the UUID on a swap partition in Red Hat Enteprise Linux 5?
Issue
- The mkswap utility in Fedora and other Linux distributions has a -U option to set a UUID.
-
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, however, doesn't seem to have this functionality in its mkswap.
-
Is it possible set a UUID to the swap partition using mkswap?
Environment
