Why is the read performance of my RAID 1 (mirroring) LV limited to the read throughput of a single disk?
Issue
- The read perfomance of my RAID 1 LVM Volumes is limited to the maximum read performance of one disk
- In my environment each RAID 1 Logical Volume consists of 2 disks and therefore I would expect the read performance to almost double. Why is this not the case?
