systemd update enables the default display manager service if it has been disabled manually.

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • Updating systemd always enables the default display manager unless it has been disabled. That is one of gdm.service, kdm.service, wdm.service or xdm.service (depending on the system configuration) will be enabled if it was previously disabled manually using systemctl.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • systemd
