Access delay when opening directory of gluster volumes from a windows client.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Access delay will occur when open the top directory of gluster from windows client, by input the gluster node's IPaddr/hostname to the address bar of windows explorer. (Top directory means will display all of the shared volumes) Especially there are several share volumes with multiple bricks.

  • After open the top directory, there is no delay with sub directories operations(create, delete, edit).

  • Close the windows explorer and re-open the top directory will get the delay again.

Environment

  • Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.2
  • Windows 7
  • Windows server 2012
