Why do I get sporadic crashes with some applications in Red Hat Enterprise Linux when the MALLOC_CHECK_ environment variable is set?
Issue
- I receive sporadic crashes with some applications in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.4 or 5.5 when the MALLOC_CHECK_ environment variable is set
- SIGSEGV occurs when freeing memory with checking free() with MALLOC_CHECK_.
