Issue

  • When listing an NFS share being exported by a RHEL 5.9 NFS server on an HP-UX client the ls command hangs:
Root> ls nfs-share/
ls: out of memory

Environment

  • NFS server

    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.9 with kernel 2.6.18-348.el5 or newer
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 with kernel 2.6.32-279 or newer

  • NFS client: HP-UX
