local-fs.target stops and RAID filesystems unmount shortly after boot
Issue
- Shortly after the boot process completes,
local-fs.targetstops, causing filesystems residing onmdadmsoftware RAID devices to be unmounted.- The system reaches the "Reached target Local File Systems" state, but then logs "Stopped target Local File Systems" approximately 2 minutes later.
- The RAID devices are often found to be in a degraded or "unsafe" state.
