Is there a way to create a lightweight FIS 2.0 Openshift image?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We are starting to create Fuse Integration Services (FIS) 2.0 applications using the supported Spring Boot maven archetypes, but I noticed that memory footprint is 850MiB for a simple route. We are think that this is a resource killer, so my questions are:
  1. Is this the default memory footprint?

  2. Is this a way to slimming the project to use less memory?

  • We create the application using the command:
mvn org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-archetype-plugin:2.4:generate \
  -DarchetypeCatalog=https://maven.repository.redhat.com/ga/io/fabric8/archetypes/archetypes-catalog/2.2.195.redhat-000004/archetypes-catalog-2.2.195.redhat-000004-archetype-catalog.xml \
  -DarchetypeGroupId=org.jboss.fuse.fis.archetypes \
  -DarchetypeArtifactId=spring-boot-camel-xml-archetype \
  -DarchetypeVersion=2.2.195.redhat-000004

Environment

  • FIS 2.0
