Red Hat Directory Server 8.1 seg fault on libsyntax-plugin.so and null bvals
Issue
Red Hat Directory Server / RHDS version 8.1 replica's would all crash, intermittently, even when the load on the server is low.
Environment
One or several Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems with
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 8)

One master and one consumer with Red Hat Directory Server 8.1
Red Hat-Directory/8.1.0 B2009.111.1857
*+ 1 /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.6.0-ibm.x86_64/bin/java</code>
And empty attribute value for some test LDIF entries.
