Why does tg3 link become down when "ethtool -G" is run on RHEL6?
Issue
- Why does tg3 link become down when "ethtool -G" is run on RHEL6?
Sample log:
# ethtool -G eth0 rx 256
# dmesg | tail -3
tg3 0000:03:00.0: eth0: Link is down
tg3 0000:03:00.0: eth0: Link is up at 1000 Mbps, full duplex
tg3 0000:03:00.0: eth0: Flow control is on for TX and on for RX
