PTP boundary clock stops replying for Delay_Req message after some minutes in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • PTP boundary clock was configured, and an PTP ordinary clock could sync with it as a slave for several minutes, but it started to fail after that.
  • Upon network capture, the PTP boundary clock didn't reply for Delay_Req message.
  • Why does not it send the reply back to the slave?
