Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When using stonith_admin or pcs stonith fence to fence a node with fence_scsi or fence_mpath as the primary stonith device, the node is successfully fenced but resources don't fail over or respond to further commands until the fenced node is rebooted.
  • When a node is fenced by fence_scsi or fence_mpath due to failure to stop a resource, resources don't fail over or respond to further commands until the fenced node is rebooted.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7 (with the High Availability Add-on)
  • fence_scsi or fence_mpath
