SSLProtocol Directive Ignored Over Different VirtualHosts in Apache HTTPD 2.4.12 or Older

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

The default SSLProtocol directive overwrites the ones defined at any Virtual Host. As a result we cannot have different VirtualHosts with different values of that directive. This behavior is abnormal because the SSLProtocol directive has a Virtual Host scope and is reported as a bug.

Environment

  • Apache HTTPD 2.4.12 or older
  • SSLProtocol set to All in a virtual domain context
