Systemd Ordering Cycle in Microsoft Azure Virtual Machine Prevents SSH Session Connection

Issue

An SSH session cannot connect to a running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) virtual machine (VM). The log message breaking ordering cycle by deleting job <unit.type/option> is shown in /var/log/message on the VM.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 (or later)
  • Microsoft Azure
