Starting an oracledb resource in a cluster service fails with generic error in RHEL
Issue
- Starting a clustered service with an oracledb resource always fails. The messages in
/var/log/messagesfrom the time of failure appear as follows:
clurgmgrd[8061]: <notice> start on oracledb "oracle-service" returned 1 (generic error)
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 or 6 with the High Availability Add On
- A service in
/etc/cluster/cluster.confwith one or more<oracledb>resources
