/etc/logrotate.d/glusterfs does not rotate client logs

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

/etc/logrotate.d/glusterfs does not work to rotate client logs which exist in /var/log/glusterfs. A full restart of gluster will generate new logs on the server nodes, but not on client nodes. Current active logs have an old date appended to them, but continue to be written to.

Environment

glusterfs 3.*
