The 'ImageMagick' image viewer loops over all preceding images specified on the command line before displaying the next image

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • We often use the ImageMagick program “display” to flip through multiple jpg or gif images
  • We have noted a strange behavior in the tool that didn’t used to exist
  • Rather than allowing you to quickly slideshow through all of your images by simply hitting the space bar or the backspace button, it shows image 1, then image 1 again, then image 2, then image 1, then image 2, then image 3, etc.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.8
  • ImageMagick-6.7.2.7-6.el6
