device-mapper-multipath device fails to reflect new size following "multipathd -k'resize map'" command

Issue

  • After changing the size of the underlying storage device, multipath -k'resize map mapthN' command fails to reflect the correct size. There are no commands queued to the multipath device, and rescan of the underlying scsi devices reflects to correct size, but does not correct the problem.
