rpm installation failed with --relocate option in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
Issue
- I have a custom rpm package with a large number of files.
- I tried to install it with --relocate option on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, and it failed with the following error.
# rpm -vv -ih --relocate=/usr=/tmp/custom custom.rpm --nodeps
...
error: custom-1.0.0.noarch: install failed
...
- The same command without --relocate option didn't fail.
