Does Red Hat support rebuilding the `initrd` file of one major release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux with the module from another major release?
Issue
- The newly purchased hardware does not support older version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), it needs a module to run a particular hardware which is available in next major release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. How to rebuild the
initrdwith the module which is available in next major release? - The Following articles depicts the same, but is it supported in above scenario?
