How can I verify Openstack Director's configuration for large number of nodes scaling?

- General recommendation is to not scale past 300 compute nodes per-region with the monolithic controller configuration (the traditional control plane is deployed when not split it on
Composable Services Within Roles). - The provided numbers are not the optimal ones for large deployments, and moving services like heat or neutron outside the control plane can be a better choice in order to scale further (Please review the architecture and your expected capacity plan before deploying).
- On Virtual Openstack Director node, you can start with basic memory but since you start to scale nodes, the numbers of Logical processors and RAM need to be adjusted. On Director bare metal node, you will need to size as you max capacity plan allows you.
