Tomcat Web Server Administration Tool doesn't exist on the s390 or ppc64 Red Hat Enterprise Linux architectures

Issue

  • The /admin area of tomcat5 does not function on the s390 system after the initial install. This however does function on the i386 and x86_64 platform. On the s390 you get a 404 error with this page when /admin is deployed.

  • The http://localhost:8080/admin URL returns a 404 error when you browse to the URL to administer tomcat

  • After installing the tomcat5 packages in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, attempting to access the Tomcat Web Server Administration Interface via a Web browser will result in the following error being displayed in the browser:


HTTP Status 404 - /admin/
