Issue

  • Desktop (GUI) crash or hang after restarting dbus by systemctl restart dbus.service.
  • Below messages keep printing in /var/log/messages:
  Jan 16 06:20:01 xxxxx dbus[164629]: [system] Activating via systemd: service name='org.freedesktop.login1' unit='dbus-org.freedesktop.login1.service'
  Jan 16 06:20:01 xxxxx dbus-daemon: dbus[164629]: [system] Activating via systemd: service name='org.freedesktop.login1' unit='dbus-org.freedesktop.login1.service'
  Jan 16 06:20:01 xxxxx systemd: Started Login Service.
  Jan 16 06:20:26 xxxxx dbus[164629]: [system] Failed to activate service 'org.freedesktop.login1': timed out
  Jan 16 06:20:26 xxxxx dbus-daemon: dbus[164629]: [system] Failed to activate service 'org.freedesktop.login1': timed out
