Is it possible to install & run Red Hat Enterprise Linux on a system with two different Series of Processors of a same Family type ?
Issue
- Need to upgrade an IBM x3850 from 2 processors to 4 processors (different XEON type).
- Is there any need to reconfigure the installation or complete reinstall ?
- Present CPU type is Intel(R) Xeon(R)CPU E7530 @ 1.87GHz and new ones will be Intel(R) Xeon(R)CPU E7540.
