JBoss ON does not fire 'Availability Goes Down' alert when agent is terminated or shutdown
Issue
- Availability alert not being fired when RHQ Agent resource is killed
- alert templates assigned to RHQ Agent to run script did not get any alerts
- Goes down alert assigned to resource did not fire
- Availability alerts not triggered when agent is shutdown
Environment
- Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.1.0, 3.1.1, 3.3
- Alert definition on affected resource that includes a condition on availability change other then
Goes upandGoes not up - Any condition that results in the JBoss ON agent managing the affected resource to become unavailable or unreachable:
- Agent is shutdown
- Agent is terminated or has crashed
- Agent's platform goes down or is not longer functioning
- Agent's host machine is shutdown or is not responsive
- Network between agent and JBoss ON server is unavailable
