Why is enable_periodic_fsck set to 0 in Red Hat Enterprixse Linux 7

Issue

  • We noticed that in /etc/mke2fs.conf in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, enable_periodic_fsck is set to 0 by default. In Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 this was set to 1 and is therefore causing different behavior. Can you please explain us why the new default is 0?
