JBoss throws java.lang.SecurityException: Failed to authenticate principal=null, securityDomain=jmx-console when calling shutdown script

Issue

• I tried to stop the server with the following options:

  • shutdown -s jnp://:1099 -S
  • shutdown -s jnp://:1099 -S
  • shutdown -s jnp://localhost:1099 -S
  • shutdown -s jnp://127.0.0.1:1099 -S

• in all the cases it gave the following errors on the console where I ran the above command:
