Issue
- Unable to use
AF_PACKETsockets with fanout groups in RHEL 7 - Symmetric RSS hashing broke in kernel with fanout
- It is not possible to run applications that use
AF_PACKET(if_packet) with the kernel released in 7.3 - Please see https://github.com/JustinAzoff/can-i-use-afpacket-fanout
- Need to use fanout symmetric hashing with Suricata/Bro IDS as described at https://home.regit.org/2012/07/suricata-to-10gbps-and-beyond/
