My NetApp share is not longer accessible after I upgraded the samba-client package.
Issue
When the Badlock patch was released back in April, we suddenly couldn't use smbclient anymore to our NAS (NetApp). There was an error related to a missing flag and a "possible downgrade detected" error:
$ smbclient //foo.example.com/data -U foo -W bar
Enter foo's password:
ntlmssp3_handle_neg_flags: Got challenge flags[0x60898205] - possible downgrade detected! missing_flags[0x00000010] - NT_STATUS_RPC_SEC_PKG_ERROR
session setup failed: NT_STATUS_MORE_PROCESSING_REQUIRED
The same share can be accessed without any problems from a RHEL7 system with samba-client-4.2.10-7.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- samba-3.6.23-36
