CUPS configured with PaperCut waits 60 seconds before printing jobs to a printer

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

Jobs that go to the printer stay at "processing" for 60 seconds before being sent to the printer. This 60 second delay is only happening with the some print queues. When jobs are sent to other queues, they print much faster.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Common Unix Printing System (CUPS)
  • PaperCut printing software
