- Attempting to mount a filesystem produces "can't rename /etc/mtab.tmp to /etc/mtab: No such file or directory"
/etc/mtabshows filesystems mounted that are not actually mounted# dfshows filesystems mounted, but they are not OR# dfshows filesystems unmounted, but they are mounted
