Why did the Satellite 6.2 installer spend a long time relabelling /var/lib/pulp during an upgrade?

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • As part of the steps required to upgrade Satellite 6.2 to a newer minor release, I need to run the installer in upgrade mode:
# satellite-installer --scenario satellite --upgrade
  • Why did the Satellite installer spend a long time relabelling the content in /var/lib/pulp as part of the upgrade?
