How to make Apache httpd in RHEL 7, 8 write to /tmp

Solution Verified - Updated -

  • Apache httpd in RHEL 7, 8 is not writing to /tmp even though we've configured it to do so. How can we allow this?

  • We are trying to write to /tmp rather than our standard log directory so the information written out isn’t saved anywhere from logging tools but there is no file generated by Apache in the tmp directory and I do not see any errors in the apache logs anywhere I’ve looked.
