BIOS boot parition creation manually with 1MB in GUI installation failed with partition is too large for BIOS Boot formatting (allowable size is 512 KiB to 2048 KiB)
Issue
- I want to use a GPT label disk for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 installation.
- My system is not enabled with UEFI, so it's using a Legacy BIOS.
- In Legacy BIOS with GPT label disk, we need to have a BIOS boot partition for a boot loader.
- I specified 1 MB for the BIOS boot partition in the custom partitioning screen of GUI installation.
- But, I got the following error.
partition is too large for BIOS Boot formatting (allowable size is 512 KiB to 2048 KiB)
