How to create an alert definition templates in JBoss ON
Environment
- Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.1, 3.2, 3.3
Issue
- Create an alert definition template
Resolution
An Alert Definition Template creates an alert based on the _general type of resource. Every time a resource of that type is added, then the alert definition is automatically added to the resource with the predefined settings. Any alert assigned to a resource through a template can be edited locally for that resource, so these alert definitions are still flexible and customizable.
Alert Definition Templates can be configured from the Administration page of the JBoss ON user-interface (UI). Available alert definitions for resources of a specific resource type are located on the Alert Definition Templates Configuration panel.
For more details on using Alert Definition Templates in JBoss ON 3.3, see Creating Alert Definition Templates or the applicable section in the configuration guide for your specific product version.
