How to disable autocreation of 70-persistent-net.rules

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We are using our own udev rules for persistent naming which sometimes collide with naming rules specified in /etc/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules file. Due to this network devices are named inappropriately. We would like to disable default behaviour of udev which is creating this file.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
